October 4, 2011 - Psalms 25:4

Psalms 25:4 says, “Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.”
If we ask the Lord to teach us His ways, to teach us His paths…we are essentially asking to know the will of our Father. I’ve heard many people say, “I know the Lord has a plan for me, I’m just waiting for that path to be revealed.” There is nothing wrong with this statement by itself. But…like so much else, it depends on how this “patience” is resulting in action. I know…patience and action linked together sounds like an oxymoron but it isn’t. This is where I want to draw a line between God’s will for us…and God’s plan (path) for us. God’s will for all mankind is the same. “This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”  1 Timothy 2:3-4
